At Hedgehog Technologies, we believe that the path to a better future begins with recognizing our collective past. On Truth & Reconciliation Day, we honor the resilience of Indigenous communities by acknowledging the deep history and impact of residential schools. As part of our commitment, Hedgehog has donated $300 to the Orange Shirt Society Legacy Fund, supporting educational efforts and raising awareness of this significant chapter in Canadian history.
While our core work revolves around serving communities within our project scope, such as enhancing energy independence and providing safety and innovation for amusement rides, our commitment goes beyond that. We strive to make a difference both on and off the project site, recognizing the broader responsibility we have to the communities around us. This donation is just one of the ways we demonstrate our support for Truth and Reconciliation and contribute to healing and understanding.
Indigenous communities are integral to the work we do, and Truth & Reconciliation Day reminds us that partnerships with these communities should extend beyond business interactions. By fostering strong relationships through meaningful action, we aim to help build a more inclusive future—one that recognizes the importance of cultural preservation, understanding, and mutual respect.
The Orange Shirt Society Legacy Fund aligns with our values by promoting awareness and offering educational opportunities. Together, we hope to encourage ongoing dialogue and support for initiatives that further reconciliation and a shared path forward.
