On February 11-13, ElleHacks returns for a free, nonprofit hackathon for women and non-binary students across North America. Director of Business Development Erin Martin-Serrano will make an appearance as a judge for the competition.
What is ElleHacks?
ElleHacks is the largest student-run and all-female hackathon in Canada. ElleHacks brings students together to solve a challenge within a short period of time. The hackers benefit from networking with sponsors, learning new skills, and connecting with other students.
The hackathon will host several events this year including:
- Career Fair
- Workshops
- Speed-Networking
- Speaker Panel
- Games & Wellness Activities
The judging panel will decide on a winner based on a scoring rubric and the winning hackers will receive special ElleHacks prizes.
About the Judge
Erin Martin-Serrano holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSE) and a Masters from Arizona State University, with over 15 years of project development experience. Her technical background includes research and development for signal processing and technical program management for over $20 million programs. Erin has experience with programs for amusement rides, industrial automation, project analytic reporting, systems planning, and risk management. As a seasoned mentor, Erin regularly contributes to women in engineering initiatives.
