Amreen Grewal, a 35-year-old project manager, has been recognized on the cover of Canadian Consulting Engineers‘ Top 10 Under 40 list. This honor stands as a testament to her exceptional talent, unwavering dedication, and profound commitment to driving positive change within her field and the community at large.
One of Amreen’s standout accomplishments revolves around her instrumental role in conceiving and executing a 2-Megawatt solar power initiative for the Haida Gwaii First Nation in British Columbia. Confronting the community’s heavy reliance on environmentally harmful diesel energy, she undertook the formidable task of not only lessening their carbon footprint but also fostering a culture of sustainability.
Amreen also advocates for diversity and inclusion within engineering by inspiring the next generation of future engineers.
“Recently, Grewal has been involved with Electricity Human Resources Canada’s (EHRC’s) Greening a Generation video campaign, both to promote sustainable energy practices to elementary students across the country.”
Join us in extending our heartfelt congratulations to Amreen, as she celebrates this milestone in her career.
